Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day - September 2009

Things have been moving in the garden now. A delayed spell of rains has ensured that garden is back to its green glory again. Fresh rain washed blooms of September are enlisted here as part of GBBD started by Carol at Maydreamgardens.     How wonderful! Love that water lily and suprised to see the prairie plant Blanket Flower in India, though the colors definitely fit.

    Just beautiful! I love the light pink blooms on your Crepe Myrtle. The white Hibiscus makes such a pretty shot with the water droplets on it.

    Lovely! I have quite a few of these plants in my garden, although because I'm in the southern hemisphere, they are at a different stage. My crepe myrtle is just starting to leaf out, for example.

    I didn't know what Mirabilis jalapa was. It comes up as a weed in my garden every summer, but I'd never seen it before I moved here. It's nice to know what it is called.

    Has it actually been raining for you? How lucky!
    With all those freshly washed, squeaky-clean flowersyour garden must look very colourful right now. How very lucky!

    I love your header photo -- the golden light in it, and of course the butterfly, are beautiful. And I love the white Hibiscus! Which species is that -- is it H. rosa-sinensis or something else? I have a four o'clock that is just that color -- aren't they wonderful? They glow at twilight and have such a sweet fragrance.

    lovely blooms. This gaillardia is my fav. one although mostyl we find the yellow one here. we share the same flowers blooming. If i make a list of flowers blooming in my city lahore right now, then your list will be almost same.

    The crepe myrtle picture is spectacular. It has a nice calming effect like getting up early to stroll in the garden before everyone wakes up. Just the birds and the wind and the wonderful smells of the garden to greet you.
