Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day - September 2009
Things have been moving in the garden now. A delayed spell of rains has ensured that garden is back to its green glory again. Fresh rain washed blooms of September are enlisted here as part of GBBD started by Carol at Maydreamgardens.

Just beautiful! I love the light pink blooms on your Crepe Myrtle. The white Hibiscus makes such a pretty shot with the water droplets on it. You have so much color in your garden.
How lovely to see your many garden blooms... India the name and your flowers so exotic. Your Jatropha is beautiful as it is still unfurling. All the blossoms are stunning. Carol
Lovely! I have quite a few of these plants in my garden, although because I'm in the southern hemisphere, they are at a different stage. My crepe myrtle is just starting to leaf out, for example.
I didn't know what Mirabilis jalapa was. It comes up as a weed in my garden every summer, but I'd never seen it before I moved here. It's nice to know what it is called.
Good morning Green thumb and thank you for a most lovely parad of bloom from you garden. My favourite if I can choose one is the white hibiscus picture.
Has it actually been raining for you? How lucky! With all those freshly washed, squeaky-clean flowersyour garden must look very colourful right now. How very lucky! Its nice to see how many plants our gardens share :)
WashingtonGardener- Thank you for the comment. Its nice to know that Gaillardia is a common flower in the Prairies too!
Hocking Hills Gardener- Thanks for the visit. After a drought scare we has a sudden spurt of rains. The washed look of flowers was a treat to eyes post rains.
Claude- Thanks for visiting. Blanket flower is a real beauty. Glad to hear that I have one of your favorites growing in my garden.

Julie- Thank you sooo much. It is always a morale booster, just to see your name on the comment list.
Tyra- Thank you for finding time to comment. White hibiscus looks pretty, especially on a cloudy day, in the backdrop of dark clouds, its beauty has a haunting quality.
Sunita- Hi there! Yes these rains came from nowhere. Least expected and almost creating a deluge, I guess they were an answer to all the prayers being said to save from a potential drought.
I love your header photo -- the golden light in it, and of course the butterfly, are beautiful. And I love the white Hibiscus! Which species is that -- is it H. rosa-sinensis or something else? I have a four o'clock that is just that color -- aren't they wonderful? They glow at twilight and have such a sweet fragrance.
Your garden looks SO tropical, I just want to kick my feet up and have a fruity drink! The bloom on the Buddha Belly is so unusual and quite striking! Thanks so much for sharing.
