Here blooms my first Pansy of the season. I have always been fascinated by Pansies…that cute face staring at you with a mixture of frown and deep thought, I remember reading somewhere that the word Pansy is derived from French word pensee- meaning ‘thought’ as the flower looks busy in some deep thought!

Thank you for your comment on my blog. I look forward to seeing what you have in bloom for the next Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day. I think you are the 1st outside of the U.S. to respond. Thank you!

I enjoy your blog as there are so few garden blogs of tropical gardens, and even fewer by actual locals. also like the blogs you've linked. I must try growing some dahlias, they were a favourite of my father. You can check out my garden blog at http://caribbeangarden.blogspot.com/

Pansies in India! Who would have thought? I like them a lot, such simple and sweet flowers in so many lovely colours. BTW My name (Yolanda) means Violet or Pansie. :-)

First, thanks for your comment on my blog and the link. I agree with Yolanda, as you have now give me the idea of trying lupins, pansies etc. Maybe you could do some blogs with pics of gardens in India, or trees/vines/flowers in India;that would be interesting.
