Garden Bloggers Bloom Day April08

Time sure runs fast, especially Spring season, which always appears ephemeral. Just a few days back – or so it seems – I was complaining about too much cold, and in a jiffy seasons have changed; already spring is beating a retreat. But, not before I have caught the spring splendor with the same old eyes behind a new pair of camera lenses. So here I enlist the blooms at Indiagarden as part of GBBD started by Carol at Maydreamgardens: Pansy Lantana Pink Oleander Roses Pentas Hollyhock Tomato bloom Californian Poppy Onion Bloom Pomegranate Carrot Flowers Gazanias Candytuft Gaillardia Marigold

Lovely blooms you have there. More summer-like specimens than we have here yet. I especially like the variegated lantana. We have so much lantana here, but rarely see that kind. What a great idea to post your veggie blooms. I'll have to remember that next time as I have both tomato and tomatillo blooms right now. Happy GBBD.

With your new camera you have clicked all the beauties you come across, it seems! Even vegetable flowers and fruit tree flowers haven't been left out! With this blog I can identify any flower!

Hi Green Thumb,

Your new camera is taking good pictures - I am especially taken with the Pomegranate bloom. The colour is so vibrant. Your roses are beautiful - you must be so enjoying them. It was good to see your Gazania - I love growing them and realised it will only be another month before we can put them in ground. I especially like the pink/white one. When I see them, it makes me smile.

Love the pomogranite bloom...how cool is that? I have not seen one before! I think it is nice that you have so many of the flowers we have over here as well...I was excited to see the Californian Poppy there...very pretty!

Happy GBBD dear Green Thumb! Once again you've made a lovely and colourful contribution to GBBD. That first pic is simply wonderful. We have pansies and canytuft in common I see. The rest of your garden looks like summer to me.

What lovely flowers the pomegranate has. I've never seen one before, so thanks! It's amazing what beautiful flowers some veggies produce; love those carrot flowers!

Hello Green Thumb and Happy Blooming Day to you!

What a colorful end to spring with larkspur and poppies and even carrot flowers! I have a pomegranate tree but only tiny buds right now - after seeing your flower I'm even more impatient for it to bloom.

I felt very at home in your garden today as all the blooms can be found in mine in summer :)

We must be kindred spirits with a love of the same flowers, for we both grow delphiniums, roses, marigolds, candytuft, hollyhocks and poppies.

The only one in your collection I can't grow is the oleander as it requires a warmer drier clime. but I love the vibrancy and richness of all your flowers :)

I wish I could grow pomegranate in my garden, but it gets far too cold in the winter. I'll just have to admire yours and others' around the blogs.

Thanks for joining in for bloom day again!

Lovely flowers. I'm especially fascinated with the variegated lantana. I've never seen this before. Do you know the species?

I too came in to say that I'd never seen the variegated lantana before. Lovely. Is it a species that requires a particular climate?

Your roses are beautiful. We are at least 2 months away from seeing blossoms over here. Interesting to see the different seasons in our countries. Andrea

Hello again, dear Green Thumb. Just popped over to say we have some new visitors at Barleycorn...some have wiggly tails...and some a swishing tail like a baby croc :)
